The time it takes to complete your degree at Nexford University is flexible and depends on your individual pace, study habits, and course load. While we provide a structured learning environment, you have control over how quickly you progress.
Average Program Completion Times
Based on typical progression, average completion times are:
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA): Approximately 48 months
- Associate of Applied Science in Business (AAS): Approximately 24 months
- Master of Business Administration (MBA): Approximately 18 months
- Career Pathways: Approximately 9 months
- Certificate Programs: Approximately 6 months
Factors Influencing Your Actual Completion Time
You can potentially finish your program faster than the averages above by:
Individual Course Pace: Our standard courses are designed with an 8-week structure. However, you can progress through course materials and complete assignments more quickly if your schedule and understanding allow. Many learners finish courses in as little as one month, allowing them to move on to the next course sooner.
Number of Courses Taken Concurrently: Learners typically begin by taking one course at a time. After successfully meeting initial course, academic, and financial requirements, you may be eligible to take more than one course simultaneously. This can significantly accelerate your progress. For more information, please take a look at this guide for more information about increasing your course load.
Meeting Program Requirements: Consistent progression also relies on meeting all assignment deadlines, maintaining good academic standing, and fulfilling your financial obligations in a timely manner.
Benefit of Accelerating Your Studies
By completing individual courses more quickly or taking multiple courses concurrently (once eligible), you can finish your program in less time. Because Nexford charges a flat monthly tuition fee, a shorter program duration means you will pay less overall for your degree.
Discuss Your Personalized Learning Path
To understand how these factors might apply to you and to create a personalized plan that estimates your program length, we highly recommend you schedule an advising session with your Success Advisor.
Important Note for Learners in Kenya
To meet the specific requirements of the Commission on University Education (CUE) in Kenya, please be aware of the following minimum program completion timeframes:
- Graduate Level Programs (e.g., MBA): Minimum of one (1) year.
- Undergraduate Level Programs (e.g., BBA, AAS): Minimum of three (3) years.
These durations are particularly relevant for those seeking civil service eligibility or planning to pursue PhD programs at certain universities in Kenya. If you are a learner in Kenya, please discuss this with your Success Advisor to ensure your study plan aligns with these local requirements.
