Late Work Submission

Modified on Wed, 8 Jul at 5:09 PM

All assignment deadlines are set at 11:59 PM Eastern Time (ET). Due dates are listed in your course syllabus.

Module 1: No Late Submissions

The late work policy does not apply to Module 1. The Module 1 assignment must be submitted by Day 10 of the course. Missing this deadline may result in administrative withdrawal from the course. No exceptions are granted.

All Other Modules and the Final Project

For all assignments other than Module 1, late submissions are accepted for up to five days after the due date, with a grade reduction applied as follows:

Days LateGrade Reduction
Up to 1 day (within 24 hours)5%
Up to 2 days10%
Up to 3 days15%
Up to 4 days20%
Up to 5 days25%
More than 5 daysAssignment closed; grade of 0

After five days, the submission window closes permanently with no exceptions.

Seminar Courses

Late submissions are not accepted in seminar courses. All seminar deadlines are firm regardless of the late work policy that applies to standard courses.

Course Extensions

In exceptional circumstances, you may be eligible to request a course extension of up to 14 additional days. Extension requests must be submitted through the Academic Request Form. See the How Do I Request a Course Extension? article for eligibility criteria and documentation requirements.

If an approved extension results in course activity continuing beyond the standard two-month term, additional tuition will be charged from Day 1 of the third month, regardless of when within that period you complete the course.
