How do I request a module or assignment extension?

All assignments other than Module 1 remain open for 5 days after the due date, to allow for late submissions due to exceptional circumstances. After 5 days, all assignments are closed for submissions with no exception.

Any submission received after the assignment deadline will be subject to the late submission penalty. Assignments submitted up to 5 days after the deadline will be graded as usual, with feedback and a final grade. This final grade will then be reduced by the penalty in the following table.

Within 1 day after the deadline (24 hours)	5% grade reduction
Within 2 days after the deadline	10% grade reduction
Within 3 days after the deadline	15% grade reduction
Within 4 days after the deadline	20% grade reduction
Within 5 days after the deadline	25% grade reduction
More than 5 days after the deadline	Grade of 0 as submissions are not accepted beyond five days past the due date.

Please note that all NXU assignment deadlines are at 11.59pm US Eastern Time. For example, if your deadline is on 1st January at 11.59PM (US-ET), you will get a 5% grade reduction if you submit before 2nd January 11.59pm (US-ET).

NXU has an extensions form that can be submitted to provide documentation of extenuating circumstances, which must be submitted within 24 hours of the due date, and may allow additional flexibility to be granted.
