At Nexford, you have the flexibility to move through your program at a pace that works for you -- including the option to accelerate and finish your degree faster. Here is what you need to know.

Eligibility for Multiple Course Enrollment

To enroll in more than one course at a time, you must meet all of the following:

  • Submit all required admission documents
  • Complete your program's initial single-course requirement

The number of courses you must complete one at a time before accelerating depends on your program:

  • Have no outstanding balance (tuition for the upcoming month must be paid before enrollment)

Can I Complete a Course in One Month?

Yes. Nexford's Flexible Start Model allows you to complete a course within a single month. If you finish early, your next term begins on the first day of the following month. To ensure your grades are finalized in time for smooth enrollment into your next course, aim to submit all assignments by the 25th of the current month.

Course Enrollment and Add/Drop Periods

Enrollment Window (24th--31st of the month)
If you have completed your current courses or want to increase your course load, automatic enrollment in your next course occurs between the 24th and 31st of the month. To add additional courses during this window, contact success@nexford.edu. This is also the best time to preview upcoming courses before they begin.

Add/Drop Period (Days 1--5 of each month)
The first five days of each month are the Add/Drop period. During this time, you can:

  • Drop a course without it appearing on your transcript or affecting your completion pace
  • Add additional courses to your schedule

Adjusting Your Course Load

You can change your course load at any time as long as you continue to meet the requirements for multiple course enrollment outlined above.

Important Note for Learners in Kenya

To meet the requirements of the Commission on University Education (CUE), your program must be completed within a minimum timeframe:

  • Graduate programs: Minimum of one year
  • Undergraduate programs: Minimum of three years

This requirement is tied to civil service eligibility criteria and PhD continuing education requirements set by local government and academic institutions in Kenya.
