Modified on Tue, 23 Jun at 4:16 PM

Welcome to Nexford University! This guide covers two essential first steps for your academic journey: setting up your Microsoft Office 365 (O365) account and completing the New Learner Orientation.

Setting Up Your Microsoft Office 365 Account

All enrolled learners receive a Microsoft Office 365 license at no additional cost. This gives you access to tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams throughout your studies.

Follow these steps to get set up:

  1. Log in to the Learner Portal
Visit the myNXU learner portal at mynxu.nexford.edu.
  2. Use Your Welcome Email Credentials
Sign in using the username and password provided in your Nexford Welcome email. If you cannot find this email or have trouble logging in, contact it-support@nexford.edu or select Submit a Ticket in the header of this Support Hub.
  3. Activate and Install Office 365
Once you are logged into myNXU, your Office 365 license is active. To install the Office applications on your Windows or Mac computer, follow the instructions in this Microsoft guide.

Next Step: Complete the New Learner Orientation

After accessing the myNXU portal, your next step is to complete the New Learner Orientation. This short, self-paced course is designed to help you understand how Nexford works and set you up for success from day one.

How to Access the Orientation:

  1. Go to Canvas
From the myNXU portal (mynxu.nexford.edu), click the link to access Canvas, Nexford's Learning Management System (LMS).
  2. Find the Course
On your Canvas dashboard, look for the course titled NXU Orientation.
  3. Start the Course
Click on the course card to open and begin the orientation modules.
