Modified on Mon, 5 May at 6:58 PM

Welcome to Nexford University! This guide, along with the video included below, covers two essential first steps for your academic journey -- setting up your Microsoft Office365 (O365) account and completing new learner orientation.

Setting up your Microsoft Office365 Account

Nexford provides all enrolled learners with a Microsoft Office 365 license at no additional cost. This gives you access to essential tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams throughout your studies – tools highly valued by employers.

Follow these steps to get set up:

  1. Log in to the Learner Portal: First, visit the myNXU learner portal at mynxu.nexford.edu.

  2. Use Your Welcome Email Credentials: Sign in using the specific username and password provided in your official Nexford Welcome email. (If you can't find this email or have trouble logging in, email it-support@nexford.edu or select the "Submit a Ticket" button in the header bar of this Support Hub.)

  3. Install Office 365: Once you are successfully logged into myNXU, your Nexford account (including your Office 365 license) is active. You can now proceed to install the Office applications by following the detailed instructions in this Microsoft guide. This guide will walk you through downloading and installing Office on your Windows or Mac computer.

Next Step: Complete the New Learner Orientation

Now that you have accessed the myNXU portal, your next essential step is to complete the New Learner Orientation. This short, self-paced course is crucial for understanding how to succeed at Nexford.

Accessing the Orientation Course:

  1. Navigate to Canvas: From the myNXU portal (mynxu.nexford.edu), locate and click the link to access Canvas, which is Nexford's official Learning Management System (LMS).
  2. Find the Course: Once you are in Canvas, look for the course titled "NXU Orientation" on your dashboard.
  3. Begin the Course: Click on the course card to enter and start the orientation modules.
