Program Suspension at Nexford University is a temporary status where a learner is not actively enrolled in courses due to specific unresolved administrative or financial issues. It's important to understand why suspension might occur and how to resolve it to continue your studies.
Reasons for Program Suspension
You may be placed on program suspension for one of the following primary reasons:
Unpaid Tuition: Nexford University requires tuition to be paid in advance for each month of study to secure your enrollment for that period. If your tuition invoice is not paid before the term enrollment window closes (typically before the 1st of the month for that month's study), you will not be enrolled for that term/month. Your studies will be considered suspended for that period due to non-payment.
Outstanding Admission Documents (AEP Status): If you were admitted to Nexford under a Provisional or Conditional status, you are required to submit all necessary final admission documents in order to be fully admitted into your program. You have 90 days from your official start date to provide these documents.
If these required documents are not received and verified by the 90-day deadline, you will not be able to enroll in any further courses and will be placed on suspension until all documents have been successfully submitted and processed.
What Suspension Means for You
- Course Enrollment: You will not be able to enroll in or attend any new courses while your account is suspended.
- Tuition Charges: You will not be charged tuition for any full month(s) that you are on official suspension.
Duration of Suspension and Resolution
A learner will typically be kept on a continuous suspension for a maximum of two (2) months. To end the suspension and become eligible to re-enroll in courses, you must resolve the underlying issue that led to the suspension:
- For unpaid tuition: Settle your outstanding balance.
- For outstanding documents: Submit all required admission documents for verification.
If the reason for your suspension is not resolved by the end of the maximum two-month suspension period, you will unfortunately be administratively dismissed from Nexford University.
