Welcome to Nexford University! We're excited to have you join our learning community. When you're accepted into a program, you'll be granted one of several admission statuses. This article explains each status and outlines how to achieve Full Admission, especially if you've been provisionally or conditionally admitted.
What Are the Different Admission Statuses?
Your admission status reflects the completeness and verification of your application materials. The Admissions Office will communicate your specific status and any requirements in your official acceptance letter.
Full Admission
This is the goal for all learners! You achieve Full Admission when you've met all of Nexford University's and your program's specific admission requirements, and all necessary documentation has been received and verified by the university.
Provisional Admission
Provisional admission means you've been accepted, but we're awaiting official confirmation of certain academic credentials.
Provisional Admission: Accepted Evaluation Pending (AEP) This status means your admission is pending the receipt of official transcripts and/or credentials directly from the awarding institution. We need these to ensure they meet both our university and program-specific standards.
Provisional Admission: Pending Undergraduate (UG) Evaluation This status is granted when your admission is pending our confirmation that your prior undergraduate-level studies or equivalent credentials meet the necessary academic requirements for entry into your chosen program.
Conditional Admission
Conditional admission means you've been accepted based on the information you've provided, but your full enrollment is contingent upon you submitting specific required official documents.
- Conditional Admission: Pending Documentation This status is granted when there are specific required official documents that you haven't yet provided or that haven't been verified at the time of your initial admission decision. Examples might include official transcripts, proof of degree completion, or credential evaluation reports. Your acceptance letter will clearly list the exact documents you need to submit.
How to Attain Full Admission (for Provisional and Conditional Statuses)
If you've been admitted under any Provisional or Conditional status, you must fulfill all outstanding requirements communicated by the Admissions Office.
Here's what you need to do:
- Submit All Specified Documentation: You must submit all the official documents required by your admission status. These documents must be received by Nexford University within ninety (90) calendar days of your program start date.
- Your Responsibility: It is your responsibility to ensure these documents are submitted promptly and on time.
What Happens if I Don't Meet the Conditions?
Failing to submit all required documentation or fulfill all pending requirements associated with your Provisional or Conditional admission status within ninety (90) calendar days from your program start date can have serious consequences:
- You may be suspended from your program.
- Continued failure to meet these requirements following suspension may ultimately lead to dismissal from the University.
Converting to Full Admission
Once Nexford University timely receives, reviews, and verifies all your required documentation and all specified conditions associated with your Provisional or Conditional admission are fulfilled, your status will be automatically converted to Full Admission into your degree program.
We're here to help you navigate this process. If you have any questions about your admission status or the required documents, please don't hesitate to reach out to the Admissions Office.
