Trouble Obtaining Your Official Transcript? Here's What to Do

We understand that obtaining official transcripts directly from a previous institution can sometimes present challenges. While receiving an official transcript sent directly from your prior school is a standard requirement for finalizing your admission at Nexford, here's how to proceed based on your situation:

1. Is the issue a financial hold?
   If your previous institution will not release your transcript due to an outstanding balance, you must resolve this directly with them. Nexford University cannot waive the official transcript requirement because of unpaid fees owed to another institution.
   
   

2. Has your previous institution permanently closed?
   If the school you attended is no longer operational, please contact transcripts@nexford.edu immediately. Provide the full name of the institution, its location (city, state/country), and your approximate dates of attendance or graduation. In cases of verified school closures, we may be able to advise on alternative documentation options.
   
   

3. Are you facing other difficulties?
   If you're encountering different issues (e.g., significant delays, inability to contact the school, administrative errors), please email transcripts@nexford.edu with detailed information about the specific problem you are facing. While the requirement for official verification generally cannot be waived, our team can offer guidance based on your unique circumstances.
