Nexford University's "Invite Your Sponsor to Pay" feature makes it easy for a third party—such as an employer, organization, family member, or friend—to contribute towards or cover your tuition fees.
How it Works for Students
- When to Invite: You can utilize this option during your initial enrollment process in ApplyNXU or at any time when you choose to "Top Up" your Wallet in the myNXU portal.
- Provide Sponsor Details: You will be prompted to enter your sponsor's information, primarily their name and email address.
- Automatic Invitation: Once you submit these details, an email containing an invoice or a payment request, along with a secure payment link, is automatically sent to your sponsor.
How it Works for Sponsors
- Receive Payment Email: Sponsors will receive an email from Nexford University (or our payment processing partner) which includes the payment details and a unique, secure link to make a payment.
- Easy and Secure Payment: By clicking the link, sponsors can make a payment directly without needing to create or log into a Nexford account.
- Flexible Contribution: The system typically allows sponsors to enter the specific amount they wish to contribute towards your tuition.
- Multiple Payment Methods: Various payment methods are usually available, such as credit card, bank transfer, or other local options (often facilitated by partners like Flywire or Flutterwave, depending on the sponsor's region).
- Direct Application: Payments made by the sponsor are applied directly to your Nexford student account balance.
Important Information & Troubleshooting
- Payment Processing Time: Please allow up to three business days for a sponsor's payment to be processed and accurately reflected in your student account.
- Sponsor Did Not Receive the Invoice/Email:
- Advise your sponsor to check their spam or junk mail folders.
- As the student, verify that you entered the sponsor's email address correctly in the portal.
- You can usually find an option to resend the invitation/invoice via your myNXU student portal.
- Sponsor Experiencing Difficulty Accessing the Payment Page:
- Ensure they are using the exact, complete link provided in the email.
- Suggest they try opening the link in a different web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari).
- Recommend they clear their browser's cache and cookies and then try accessing the link again.
