Submitting a Copy of Your Degree Certificate/Diploma

Modified on Mon, 5 May at 4:15 PM

As part of completing your admission file, Nexford University requires you to submit a clear, legible copy of your official degree certificate or diploma. This is the formal document issued by your previous institution that confirms you successfully completed your program and had the degree awarded.

Why Do We Need This Copy?

Submitting this copy helps Nexford:

  • Verify your full legal name as it appears on your official credential.
  • Confirm the exact title of the degree or qualification you earned.
  • Verify the date your degree was officially awarded (conferral date).
  • Keep a record of degree completion as part of your official student file.

How to Submit Your Copy

Please provide a high-quality digital copy (either a scan or digital photo) of your degree certificate/diploma.

  1. Format: A clear scan or a well-lit, high-resolution photograph is acceptable. Ensure the entire document is visible (all corners and edges) and all text is easily readable.

  2. Submission:
    • Preferred: Upload the file directly in ApplyNXU or, if you have already started your program, in myNXU > Profile > Documents.
    • Alternative: Email the file to admissions@nexford.edu  or transcripts@nexford.edu. Please include your name and Application/Student ID in the email subject line.

Important Distinction

Remember, this requirement is for a copy of your diploma/degree certificate that you provide. It is separate from, and does not replace, the official transcript requirement, which must be sent directly to Nexford by your previous institution.
