We're sorry you want to withdraw from a course! Can you let us know why?
Withdrawing within Days 1-5
The first 5 days of a course are the 'drop period'. If you withdraw from a course within this timeframe, it is considered a dropped course and will not be shown on your transcript. You simply need to inform the Learner Success Team by emailing success@nexford.org before the 5th day of the month and they can process it for you.
Withdrawing within Days 6-38
After the first 5 days of the course, a Course Withdrawal will be recorded on your transcript with a 'W'. Before making your mind up, we suggest having a conversation with a Success Advisor to see what other options there are. Dropping a course should be your last resort!
You should note that the 'W' has no impact on your Grade Point Average (GPA) but will impact your course completion pace. This is monitored as part of the academic requirements to stay enrolled in your program, so you should be sure that withdrawing from the course will not put you at risk of an academic Warning. Every learner at NXU is expected to complete at least 67% (two-thirds) of all courses attempted. An attempted course is any course that you completed, failed, or withdrew from. Courses that you dropped within the first 5 days are excluded.
If you still need to withdraw from the course, you should email success@nexford.org
Day 39 onwards
From day 39 of your course onwards, you are no longer able to process a Course Withdrawal. You must complete the course and will receive a grade depending on what you submit.
You can find out more about the course withdrawal policy here.
